This is Sid's obituary as published in the Hartford Courant on 4 January 2010. The notations in brackets were added by the Plainville High School Class of 1958.

SADLOWSKI, John "Sid" A. Sadlowski, 69, of Plainville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, (December 30, 2009,) at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband for 44 years to Maureen (Buccheri) Sadlowski. 

Sid was born on March 11, 1940 in Bristol to the late Anthony S. and Pauline B. (Kaczymarczyk) Sadlowski. [Sid was a graduate of Plainville High School, Class of 1958.] Sid was a resident of Plainville for 28 years. He was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed golfing. His friendly demeanor will be forever missed. 

Along with his loving wife Maureen Sadlowski of Plainville, he leaves his two sisters, Patricia Caplicki and Sharon Cermola both of Plainville and a brother Gary Sadlowski of Kensington; along with several adoring nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Kathleen Symecko and brother Donald Sadlowski. 

A memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2010, at 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Mercy Church. Burial will be private. Bailey Funeral Home, Plainville is assisting the family.
