B. COUCH
1940
- 10 June 1962
We will use this section to begin putting together at least a
short biography for our friend, Alan. We welcome inputs from the class on the
details of his biography. Alan attended the Broad Street School
in Plainville. We have a photo of him in Mrs. Egan's 6th grade class,
We have a photo of Alan (compliments of Janice Fanciullo
Cardany... thanks for thinking of us, Jan) taken during his early high
school years.

The following
articles published in the Hartford Courant report the circumstances surrounding
Alan's accidental death in 1962. The notations in brackets were added by
the Plainville High School Class of 1958.
11 Jun 1962.
A Plainville man, Alan B. Couch, 22 of 64 Forestville Ave., died instantly
[on 10 June] when he was thrown from a car driven by John C. Rogers of
98 Rogers Rd., Forestville, about 9:20 p.m. in North Madison.
Rogers, also
thrown from the car, was taken to Middlesex Memorial Hospital, Middletown,
where he was reported in good condition.

State
Police said the car was northbound on Rt. 79 when it approached a traffic
